If I could only share one thing with myself (over and over and over), it would be this:
I have been impressed with the urgency of doing.
Knowing is not enough; we must apply.
Being willing is not enough, we must do.
Leonardo da da Vinci
To quote another wisdom figure, Yoda instructed “Do, or do not. There is no ‘try.’”
I relish small moments of not doing, embrace them actually! But, my life is constructed of lists, each item with an urgency of doing. I can’t contemplate a book or blog post; a film or show, a moment captured in art or memory without attempting to grasp the meaning and implications upon which action must be taken (another item for the to do list)
Faith is not about knowing or willingness or even trying… but about doing.
What would be your one thing that you remind yourself about on a consistent basis?
