Best picture will will go to Argo. (Saw it) Hollywood loves films that are self-referential (remember last year’s The Artist?) Besides, it will be fun watching Ben Affleck (who was ignored in the Best Director catacgory get up and recived an award as a producer. WIN!
Best actor: It seems that Daniel Day-Lewis is a lock for Lincoln. (Saw it) Have you ever seen patience protrayed so heroically? WIN!
Best actress: Silver Linings Playbook (Yet to see it) has, what I have read about, a pretty solid performance from Jennifer Lawrence. I ain’t messing with Katniss. WIN!
Best supporting actor: The strength of Tommy Lee Jones’s character and motivations for Lincoln only makes Lincoln’s title character seem even stronger… talk about best supporting. Christoph Waltz of Django Unchained took it, will have to catch that on OnDemand
Best supporting actress I did enjoy Les Miserables so hear is a shout out for Anne Hathaway who helped all of us understand how brutal a role in a musical could be. WIN!
Best director This will seem like a Lincoln night in all but best pic, so congratulations to Steven Spielberg. The Life of Pi ‘s Ang Lee took it.
Best Documentary: An AIDS related story How to Survive a Plague (Have not seen it) Searching for Sugar Man got it, never even heard of it, so…
Best animated feature: The only nominee I saw,… Brave I was much better in this category when the kids were younger. WIN!
Best foreign film: Because it was nominated for best pic, Amour (Have not seen it) WIN!
