April Top Posts

AprilwordelWow, I have been posting these month-enders mostly as a service to the reader who might want to catch up by checking the archives button and get a quick review of the month.  We post the top ten posts as well as a wordle  image.  (as always, click on it to enlarge it.)

This month’s wordle was a bit overwhelming… and pretty much describe where the heck I am at here in the end of this month.  The image starts off with “something” and finishes near “young”  but it was a lot. Ministry plays out pretty big, so did share, and of course, youth along with God and Church. With about 6500 words over 47 posts, however, I did not feel “something young” as we move towards May. Decisions regarding this are forthcoming.

Meanwhile, violence impacted the blog with a rape case in Ohio and the bombing in Boston, The 1Thing series got some play, as did some mention of Foolishness, as is appropriate for April. Here are the tops posts of the month:

1 Questions about Steubenville 6.  More Beautiful Than You Think
2. Patriots’ Day 7.  Christ First,Then Finally Christ
3. The April Fool 8.  Meeting Troll
4.  1Thing 9. 1NewbieProThing
5. Low-Level Leaderless Lessons 10. Are You The Greater Fool?

D. Scott Miller

D. Scott Miller is the dean of Catholic Youth Ministry bloggers which is a polite way of either saying that he is just plain old or has been blogging for a long time (since 2004.)

Scott recently married the lovely Anne and together they have five adult young people and also grandparent three delightful kids (so, maybe he is just plain old!) Scott presently serves at Saint John the Evangelist in Columbia, MD as the director of youth and young adult ministry.

He has previously served on the parish, regional, diocesan, and national levels as well as having taught within a catholic high school. He is one of the founders of RebuildMyChurch and has returned to posting regularly (keeping regular is important to old guys) at ProjectYM.
