Are They Inviting Their Friends?

There’s a lot of ways that people try evaluate the success of their youth ministry program, but I think the most important question to ask is: “Are they inviting their friends?”

You and I both know that youth ministry is not a numbers game. It’s not about how many people are there, but a successful ministry should be experiencing growth. More specifically, if teens are being fed by our ministry, they should be bringing their friends. If they’re not, they’re probably not being fed.

We often put too much emphasis on reaching teens, but in reality, if we’re not feeding the teens we have reached, then the reach was worthless. The whole point is to reach teens, so that we can introduce them to Christ and feed their faith! And if we’re doing a good job with the latter, they should be bringing their friends: because a well-fed teen, becomes a sent teen.

What about you? Are your teens well fed? Are they bringing their friends?
