Change of Seasons

4_seasons_by_vxsideHappy first day of Spring

I like a change of season… could never imagine living somewhere that does not experience them… Hawaii is nice to visit, but I need the gradual warming that comes with spring and the crispness of football weather.

We are about to change seasons liturgically. From Lent to the Triduum to this holy season of Easter.  All the while, our Church enters a new season of history with a Pope entering a new season as Emeritus and a Cardinal responding to the call of the Spirit and his brothers and offering another “yes” towards service to the Bride of Christ.

There is also a rhythm of seasons in ministry and, in our office, as we complete the Pilgrimage and some other events, we are switching over to  pre-summer. Hopefully, I’m entering into this next season rested and energetic.  My prayers are for you as well and your next season as it approaches.

D. Scott Miller

D. Scott Miller is the dean of Catholic Youth Ministry bloggers which is a polite way of either saying that he is just plain old or has been blogging for a long time (since 2004.)

Scott recently married the lovely Anne and together they have five adult young people and also grandparent three delightful kids (so, maybe he is just plain old!) Scott presently serves at Saint John the Evangelist in Columbia, MD as the director of youth and young adult ministry.

He has previously served on the parish, regional, diocesan, and national levels as well as having taught within a catholic high school. He is one of the founders of RebuildMyChurch and has returned to posting regularly (keeping regular is important to old guys) at ProjectYM.
