Las Saturday, we commemorated the one year memorial of the death of Coach Wooden.
Since 1934, his definition of success was “Peace of mind attained only through self-satisfaction and knowing you made the effort of doing the best of which you are capable.”
His three rules:
> Never be late
> Not a word of profanity
> Never criticize a teammate
He mentions his pyramid of success and it is worth noting…
This summer, in any program that you are working, try to emulate the Coach and encourage the best out of what a young person is capable.
If you are doing that, you are encouraging them to be a success… and you might just be a success yourself.
