Extreme Blog Makeover

New month and we are changing the rhythm of the blog.

Here’s what is staying the same.  Basically, the weekend…
> Friday’s will still feature quotables;
> Saturday will still have something funny (at least to me); and
> Sunday will still offer a prayer based on the Sunday reading.

Here’s what changing…
> We will move the CYM News function from Tuesday to Monday and hopefully make it a consistent second post of the day.
> Tuesdays will now feature a YouTube that you can use with young people.  And, yes, I am totally lifting the concept from the Youth Cartel but am committed to not lifting content from them and making sure that we are offering distinctly catholic content.
> Wednesday will feature a standard blog post
> The previous YM training posits that used to appear Wednesday are moving to Thursday.

Yes, I know that probably none of this makes any difference to you…, but here we go…

D. Scott Miller

D. Scott Miller is the dean of Catholic Youth Ministry bloggers which is a polite way of either saying that he is just plain old or has been blogging for a long time (since 2004.)

Scott recently married the lovely Anne and together they have five adult young people and also grandparent three delightful kids (so, maybe he is just plain old!) Scott presently serves at Saint John the Evangelist in Columbia, MD as the director of youth and young adult ministry.

He has previously served on the parish, regional, diocesan, and national levels as well as having taught within a catholic high school. He is one of the founders of RebuildMyChurch and has returned to posting regularly (keeping regular is important to old guys) at ProjectYM.
