Hot Turkey

It’s been a week all about Bing Crosby on the blog…  My kids are in full appreciation of it all I am sure.

On Tuesday, I showed at clip of Going My Way at Franciscan University.  I’ve been reviewing my favorite movies as a second featured blog and lo and behold, here it shows up again today! (See below)

And, here is actually the clip to be shared as part of our Thursday of YouTubes to be shared in training for youth ministry. While a fictional account, this scene very well might portray the sensibilities of youth ministry back in the day.

And I will ask the same questions that I asked the students in Stuebbie-ville…

What are some of the values that we have kept?

What has changed?

Things do change, but it is still a great value in youth ministry to respond to the Lord’s invitation to be going His way.

D. Scott Miller

D. Scott Miller is the dean of Catholic Youth Ministry bloggers which is a polite way of either saying that he is just plain old or has been blogging for a long time (since 2004.)

Scott recently married the lovely Anne and together they have five adult young people and also grandparent three delightful kids (so, maybe he is just plain old!) Scott presently serves at Saint John the Evangelist in Columbia, MD as the director of youth and young adult ministry.

He has previously served on the parish, regional, diocesan, and national levels as well as having taught within a catholic high school. He is one of the founders of RebuildMyChurch and has returned to posting regularly (keeping regular is important to old guys) at ProjectYM.
