Our prayer for this day, the Third Sunday of Lent.
Lord, You are our God. We have none others than You who have brought us into the fullness of our lives.
You have set your commands before us. These are the words of everlasting life.
Your law, Lord, is perfect, yet refreshes us. Your decrees are trustworthy and offer wisdom. Your awesomeness is pure and endures forever; Your ordinances are true and each of them are just. They are more precious than gold and sweeter than syrup or honey.
We remember all this as we remember that the Lord has been raised from the dead. And, yet, it is because of the life of Jesus that you all to well understand about our human nature. We are all but temples under years of construction that await being raised in days. As the kids might have said a while back, keep rockin’ our houses, Lord. We need your zeal on our behalf. We have no other gods than You who have brought us into the fullness of our lives. Lord, You are our God. <limage source>
