YOUTH MINISTER RESOURCES
We’re working on putting together resources for you! They’ll be added to this page.
Before you do anything else, please read through the details below.
THERE ARE TONS OF PEOPLE
We’ve got over 2,100 parishes (and counting) signed up for this event. That means our inbox is overflowing with emails. We are doing our best to stay on top of that, but it is taking us longer than normal to respond to emails.
THIS EVENT IS EXPENSIVE
The more parishes (and thus more students) participating in this event, the more it costs us to pull off. Bandwidth needs, technical support, and staff costs all rise as that number goes up. We definitely didn’t budget for this unforeseen event, so we need YOUR financial help to make it possible. Details below.
THERE IS MORE COMING
We’re working on more resources – they’ll be added here as soon as we finish them.
PARENT AND YOUTH MINISTER MEETING
Sundays at 6:40pm CDT, we’ll be holding a brief conversation with parents and youth ministers. It will be on the same feed as the main event. Please plan to be there.
Students do NOT need to preregister. Simply tell parents/teens to head to the URL below a few minutes before 7pm CDT. They will need a PARENT EMAIL ADDRESS to log on.
We’ve put together a leader guide with tips on event engagement, discussion questions, and resources for continued conversation and presenter contact information. There’s also a parent guide for you to distribute to the parents of your teens.
Use the graphics below on social media to help invite your teens to ProjectYM Live.
Use the text below in promotional emails to the parents in your ministry.
IF IT’S YOUR FIRST WEEK
It’s been a crazy few weeks. There’s a lot up in the air, and we’re not sure when we’ll start gathering at the church again – but that doesn’t mean youth nights have to stop…
Thousands of teenagers from across the country are gathering on Sunday nights for the BIGGEST YOUTH NIGHT EVER. It’s called ProjectYM Live and each week it’ll feature some of the biggest speakers and worship leaders in the Catholic youth ministry world – last week they had OVER TEN THOUSAND students participate.
Our parish is signed up to participate – all your teenager has to do is head to PROJECTYM.COM/WATCH this Sunday at 7pm Central.
Two quick notes:
- The broadcast starts at 7pm CDT, but plan to have your student log in a few minutes early to make sure they’re on when it starts.
- They can access the event on any device with a web browser – but the faster the connection, the better.
I’ll shoot you an email on Sunday afternoon to remind you.
Ps. Though this event is geared at teenagers, you are invited to watch along with them!
IF YOU ATTENDED LAST WEEK
This past Sunday night, our teens joined OVER TEN THOUSAND other young people from across the country for an online youth night.
We played games together. Joined in worship together. Learned from a brilliant Catholic speaker. And prayed together.
This Sunday, we’re doing it again. New speaker. New worship leader. Same time.
Like last week, the broadcast starts at 7pm CDT, but plan to have your student log in a few minutes early to make sure they’re on when it starts.
They can access the event on any device with a web browser – but the faster the connection, the better.
And if you’re not busy, you are invited to watch along with them – it’s worth it!
We’ve had a lot of awesome youth ministers reach out to us and ask how they can financially contribute to this event, and we are incredibly grateful because the truth is: we need your financial support to make this event possible. I know everyone’s budget is tight (especially in the midst of this craziness), so we didn’t want to charge anyone for this event – so even if you can’t contribute, you and your teens are still invited to attend.
How much should I donate?
Start with your snack budget. Think about how much you *would have* spent feeding your teens if they were gathering at your parish. Since you budgeted that amount for your youth nights already, would you be willing to contribute that amount to this project? Maybe you’ve got additional money in your budget for resources or supplies for your youth nights – would you be willing to contribute that?
Whatever amount your able to contribute, please know that we are so thankful for your generosity!
All donations are tax deductible and process through our partner Ablaze Ministries.
