Lord Jesus Christ the King

jesus-75x75-131x162 Our prayer today on this day,, the Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ The King

Lord, sometimes i find myself scattered all over the place. It seems many of my friends are the same way.

Lord, we know that we have strayed. We are dead in our humanity but know that the resurrection of the dead comes through our humanity. Bring us back, heal each of us, binding our injuries, offer us recuperative rest, refresh our souls and lead us besides peaceful waters.

O Good Shepherd, as remain close to you, we find ourselves swanting to be like you, reaching the scattered ad strayed.  We are compelled to give food to the hungry and drink to the thirsty.  We welcome strangers ad clothed the underdressed. We care for the ill and make connection to those imprisoned in their own realities.

Lord Jesus Christ, our generous and benevolent King, because of Your goodness and kindness, we dwell within the lush pastures of Your Reign.  For years to come, we shall not want for anything beyond Your Love.
