Last week, Cardinal Timothy Dolan offered a presentation regarding the New Evangelization. While the full text is certainly a must read, we are dissecting some worth quotes over the next many days.
God does not satisfy the thirst of the human heart with a proposition, but with a Person, whose name is Jesus. The invitation implicit in the Missio ad gentes and the New Evangelization is not to a doctrine but to know, love, and serve — not a something, but a Someone… (We are invited) to friendship with Jesus… which is the way you defined sanctity.
There it is – love of a Person, a relationship at the root of out faith.

Scott recently married the lovely Anne and together they have five adult young people and also grandparent three delightful kids (so, maybe he is just plain old!) Scott presently serves at Saint John the Evangelist in Columbia, MD as the director of youth and young adult ministry.
He has previously served on the parish, regional, diocesan, and national levels as well as having taught within a catholic high school. He is one of the founders of RebuildMyChurch and has returned to posting regularly (keeping regular is important to old guys) at ProjectYM.
