Do you really care that the apathy that you might experience from others but be your own darn fault? Is is true that people are too selfish, too stupid, or too lazy to really make a difference?
How do you encourage engagement?
Do you place the basic information is front or do you intentionally exclude?
Do you not only advocate but fully resource others for advocacy?
Do you make ministry “a spectator sport?”
Do you offer the message that a heroic effort is a collective effort… that is a chosen voluntary effort?
in your next effort, how will you communicate to those that you are leading that you believe that they are amazing and smart and do care?

Scott recently married the lovely Anne and together they have five adult young people and also grandparent three delightful kids (so, maybe he is just plain old!) Scott presently serves at Saint John the Evangelist in Columbia, MD as the director of youth and young adult ministry.
