Seven – The Age of Reason

The blog is seven years old today. Happy Bloggiversary!

When it all began, this is what was said as to why… “This is just a starting point. I’m not sure where it is going to go. I hope it will be personal. I hope it will be per-fess-ion-ale (despite occasional grammar errors and mis-spellings),  I hope it will be a resource for friends in the field.”

3880 posts later and that reason continues as the motivating factor.  As we pray during the Eucharistic Adoration tonight at the Cuatro Vientos aerodrome, know that the readers and supporters of this blog and all Catholic Youth Ministers will be in my prayers

As is tradition (once we wrap up World Youth Day postings) we will take a blogcation and resume posting on Monday, August 29th.

D. Scott Miller

D. Scott Miller is the dean of Catholic Youth Ministry bloggers which is a polite way of either saying that he is just plain old or has been blogging for a long time (since 2004.)

Scott recently married the lovely Anne and together they have five adult young people and also grandparent three delightful kids (so, maybe he is just plain old!) Scott presently serves at Saint John the Evangelist in Columbia, MD as the director of youth and young adult ministry.

He has previously served on the parish, regional, diocesan, and national levels as well as having taught within a catholic high school. He is one of the founders of RebuildMyChurch and has returned to posting regularly (keeping regular is important to old guys) at ProjectYM.
