T. G. I. October

fallTreeOuch! September was hard this year. It was just a lot. We don’t do a journal of our work week anymore (we swapped that out to repost the newsletters), but there were a few long stretches there.

It is easy to lose energy and enthusiasm during times like this.  That probably is the reason why Halloween in just scary beyond Halloween! To get beyond all that, we need to look to be passionate, grateful, positive, proud, creative, proactive, reasonable, patient, enlightened, and evolving. Here’s some tips on keeping enthusiasm alive.

This upcoming month begins the year of faith, yea, but… more importantly, my mother will have an opportunity to meet her great-grandchild.  All my kids are lined up for a rare gathering of four generations.

D. Scott Miller

D. Scott Miller is the dean of Catholic Youth Ministry bloggers which is a polite way of either saying that he is just plain old or has been blogging for a long time (since 2004.)

Scott recently married the lovely Anne and together they have five adult young people and also grandparent three delightful kids (so, maybe he is just plain old!) Scott presently serves at Saint John the Evangelist in Columbia, MD as the director of youth and young adult ministry.

He has previously served on the parish, regional, diocesan, and national levels as well as having taught within a catholic high school. He is one of the founders of RebuildMyChurch and has returned to posting regularly (keeping regular is important to old guys) at ProjectYM.
