I’m back…. Actually almost. I’m typing this in from the Tampa airport.
I had a very relaxing, rejuvenating Easter break. I spent each day walking a mile or more along the beach with the sun rising over the horizon. Each morning was simple and quiet and majestic all at the same time… kinda how I imagine the early revelations of the Lord’s resurrection.
I saw my Tampa-based youngest daughter as bookends to the trip, stayed with my Daytona Beach mom – barely losing to her in our usual blood-match of 500 Rummy – walked beaches and read books.
The books were birthday gifts at the end of January so it is an indication of winter’s busy-ness that I have finally got to them. Same Kind of Different As Me was a difficult read for me, probably because I saw to much of myself in one of the male protagonists.
I am now 2/3 of the way through Steve Jobs, and am enough of a tech geek to be thrilled at the creativity and yet am horrified at the allowances made for genius-types to be difficult or adversarial.
Easter finds me relishing in the promise of hope and new Life and I hope it finds you in the same spirit.
