The Sun’s in my Heart

As so we walk today.

In Baltimore, over 1150 have registered for our annual Youth and Young Adult Pilgrimage.

And the weather report throughout the week has not been promising for what should be one of the latest springtime walk in memory… the later weekend also carries with it, y’know, the whole April showers thing.

Earlier in the week, we sent out an e-mail to group leaders reminding them to please emphasize with the young people that, when choosing to be along the path of The Way, The Truth, and the Life (this year’s theme), discipleship does not always come easy.  We choose to be in relationship with Jesus no matter what the trials…  We are not just fair-weather friends!

And, so you find me today, experiencing what a glorious feelin’ underneath my umbrella, ella, ella, just singin’ in the rain.

D. Scott Miller

D. Scott Miller is the dean of Catholic Youth Ministry bloggers which is a polite way of either saying that he is just plain old or has been blogging for a long time (since 2004.)

Scott recently married the lovely Anne and together they have five adult young people and also grandparent three delightful kids (so, maybe he is just plain old!) Scott presently serves at Saint John the Evangelist in Columbia, MD as the director of youth and young adult ministry.

He has previously served on the parish, regional, diocesan, and national levels as well as having taught within a catholic high school. He is one of the founders of RebuildMyChurch and has returned to posting regularly (keeping regular is important to old guys) at ProjectYM.
