Thus Far

top5As we kick into the second half of the year, let’s take a quick look back over the first six months of 2012 and check what we some of the top post of the year, thus far

Hate Religion, Love Jesus? – There was this viral video and here was the response from an ArchBalt youth minister  (I did not write this posting!)

Can I Get a Witness? – A posting about peer witness talks…  It was long enough to merit making a .pdf available for it.

Share and Enjoy – with social networking being so prevalent, it might be important to help young people discern about placing images and videos of their peers on-lines

The Occupying Church – Was this the sort of church that Jesus’ disciples felt they were in?  How do we empower the 1% to go and make disciples?

Stepping Beyond Our Ground– Considering the impact of the case of Trayvon Martin and the culture in which we do ministry.

If you are new or recent to the blog and would like to catch up a little, here are five good opportunities to catch up

D. Scott Miller

D. Scott Miller is the dean of Catholic Youth Ministry bloggers which is a polite way of either saying that he is just plain old or has been blogging for a long time (since 2004.)

Scott recently married the lovely Anne and together they have five adult young people and also grandparent three delightful kids (so, maybe he is just plain old!) Scott presently serves at Saint John the Evangelist in Columbia, MD as the director of youth and young adult ministry.

He has previously served on the parish, regional, diocesan, and national levels as well as having taught within a catholic high school. He is one of the founders of RebuildMyChurch and has returned to posting regularly (keeping regular is important to old guys) at ProjectYM.
