We Walk By Faith Our pilgrimage registration numbers continued to grow (even into this week). We are now nearing 950 and with our volunteers, committee members, and others helpers, we will certainly be approaching 1000. Please keep everyone in your prayers on Saturday!

Summer Programs Once Holy Week and Easter pass, we are deep into registration season for High-Li and JAW.

Navy Seal Challenge Day Ready to engage in a fitness challenge with your young people, or to encourage them to do so. Join the Navy Seal Challenge Day will be held on May 4, 2013 at Loyola University Fitness and Aquatic Center. Letter Flyer

What Else Are We Working On? Believe it or not, (in our non-Pilgrimage-dedicated time) we are…
>> Contacting Award recipient for the Annual Recognition Celebration. After contacting them all, we hope to announce them next week. Now is the time to consider what “Volunteer of the Year” and “Eagle of the Cross” recipients from your school or parish will be joining these honorees!
>> Still actively negotiating with our bus company regarding our arrivaltimes into Indianapolis for NCYC. They have implications for our bus drivers as well as our efforts to keep prices down for your young people this year.
>> Msgr. O’Dwyer Youth Retreat House will be celebrating their 50th anniversary during the next school year. We are asking that your reserve:
>>> Sunday, September 8 for an afternoon Mass / picnic celebration for young people who will be participating and leading retreats at O’Dwyer over the 2013 – 2014 school year.
>>> Saturday, November 9 will feature a Gala Anniversary Celebration
Please watch and reserve these dates
>> Working Contracts with speakers / musicians in 2014 for Pilgrimage and BYCC. Watch for upcoming details

Next Newsletter As next week is Holy Week, we anticipate sending out our weekly newsletter on Tuesday.

Hyperlinks to Use Many are deep within Confirmation prep season. Take some encouragement from former Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio, now Pope Francis.

D. Scott Miller

D. Scott Miller is the dean of Catholic Youth Ministry bloggers which is a polite way of either saying that he is just plain old or has been blogging for a long time (since 2004.)

Scott recently married the lovely Anne and together they have five adult young people and also grandparent three delightful kids (so, maybe he is just plain old!) Scott presently serves at Saint John the Evangelist in Columbia, MD as the director of youth and young adult ministry.

He has previously served on the parish, regional, diocesan, and national levels as well as having taught within a catholic high school. He is one of the founders of RebuildMyChurch and has returned to posting regularly (keeping regular is important to old guys) at ProjectYM.
